My good friend, Lisa, made a whole table called "Kaitlin's Cravings". It was so cute. She did such a great job!! One day I will be crafty too. There was also bbq, bakes beans, and potato salad served in true Southern fashion.

End note: Brad thought from the beginning it was a girl. I couldn't really decide either way. On Sunday I woke up knowing it was a boy. I just knew it. I told everyone. I freaked out (what am I going to do with a boy?!?) I'm such a girl's girl. I love women. Not in a weird way, but I love the tradition of women -(read The RedTent). I've always had tons of guy friends, but I love to surround myself with strong women and great conversation.

All of that to say, I was scared to have a boy and I knew I was having one. But let me tell you something, when Rachel, the ultrasound tech, said "Mama's right! It's a boy" I cried tears of JOY! And all of my worry rushed away. I could not be happier. What is better than a big brother? I always wanted one!
They say boys love their mamas too... ;)

I am so excited to have a sweet, precious nephew! Joey and I could not be happier :)...and Joey said you look absolutely BEAUTIFUL in the pic of you and Brad (of course you know I agree!)!! I hate I could not be there, but do not worry because I will not be missing ANYTHING ELSE! I love you my sweet sister, Katy Kate!

Kaitlin, I had the exact same thing happen to me. And I promise you- your instinct is SO right. I sometimes wonder now how I ever even thought I wanted a little girl. Little boys really do looooove their mommy! I always wanted a big brother too! Congratulations. Little boys are the sweetest thing in the world. I know Brad is over the moon too!

I had a boy feeling all along for you! Not that my "feeling" matters! :) I am so happy for you guys!! In our family of strong women it is nice to have a few boys added now. He will have at least 2 older boy cousins to learn bad habits from And the party is such a cute idea! Love you!

I love it! So cute...congratulations!

I feel the same way about our future children. I am such a girly girl and it makes me nervous to think about having a boy, but I KNOW I will have one if not all boys just for that very reason haha!

These pictures are awesome! I bet it was super hard keeping that a secret, huh? My sister did the same thing and had the two mothers open up a picture each with the ultrasound and pointing to the parts...TWIN GIRLS!

This is so awesome, you are going to be great mom!!
