19 weeks

19 weeks

How far along? 19...will be 20 on Saturday! That is HALFWAY!! Are you kidding me?? I have too much to do!

Size of baby: Baby G is the size of a Mango. Last Monday he was measuring 8oz.

Total weight gain: Eeek I don't know! I stay AWAY from the scale. I would guess at 7 lbs. The doc says I am on track with my weight though.

Maternity Clothes: Dear Lord, give me some! I caved and bought ANOTHER pair of jeans last night because I wear mine every single day. They need a wash-break. And I got two dresses. One being the maxi dress I am wearing in the first pic. That is me today. And I think I will wear this all the time. So don't make fun at me when I am wearing this in every picture ever. Maternity clothes are expensive.

Gender: Sweet baby boy :)

Movement: I feel him from time to time at night when I am super still. I want to feel him more.

Sleep: becoming a bit more uncomfortable. Tossing, turning and going to the bathroom makes for not so good sleep.

What I Miss: Let me tell you want I don't miss...feeling fat. I mean I feel fat, but it's the baby. Or at least we will blame it all on him. Yes, I can stick my belly out all day long. I'm pregnant. What is your excuse?

Cravings: pizza pizza I am going to turn into a pepperoni. Italian in general. But I REALLY want some sushi...too bad. Maybe in 4 months (the way I like it cooked...or not cooked)

Symptoms: Keeping it consistent with the migraines. Got my pregnancy migraine medicine last night...$70 for 20 pills. Take two each time...uhh...I may just have to cry-I mean, breathe- through them.

What I am Looking forward to: registering next weekend with my mama and getting the nursery going. Hopefully moving the big bed out of that room this weekend.

Today

Tuesday up there and Wednesday below:

Pictures of yourself in the mirror are awful so I stare at my phone. When I look in the mirror, my eyes cock to one side. It never fails.

Did it again...

I couponed it up on my lunch break.

And as always, I only buy things I need so stop telling me I will get addicted and blah blah blah...I have a job; therefore, no time to grocery store coupon like a crazy.
Although if you know an easy way to do that, let me know because I think hubs would let me stay at home if I got groceries for free...maybe? :)

Anyways, so in today's adventures I saved $27.67...oh yea...that's what the bottom of my receipt says! I got 2 jumbo packs of diapers, toliet paper and palmolive. I spent a total of $7.45 for all of that and got 4 ECBs back (that's money to spend). woo hoo HOORAY! (We needed TP...big time. Last roll = panic! But I was holding out hoping for a deal. This tp was on sale and I spent some ECBs...no coupons sadly)

Let me know if you hate my couponing posts...not that I will stop because it is flippin' exciting when you get expensive diapers for nothing (what has my life come to?!)

Seriously Thursday

Linking up to Becky...she is a favorite. How could she not be? Have you seen her gorgeous baby girl? Ugh...perfection.

Seriously...we are having a BOY! Can I just scream it again?! WOO HOO. But honestly, I am just so glad to know either way. I am a planner. And now I get to plan.

Seriously...the room our little boy will be in is hunter green and has deer wallpaper border. It was my husbands old room (we bought my in-laws home) and while I love my mother in law DEARLY, she knows how I feel about her leaving this room behind for me. Let's just say there is a lot to be done. Hopefully I will remember to post a picture of this lovely room.

Seriously...I didn't get my Sunday paper this week. I was too distracted with Monday's events. No couponing awesomeness for me. I'll get back in the game next week. No worries.

Seriously...the boy is completely sideways. The doc told me this is the most uncomfortable position he could possibly be in for me. Wonderful. That explains a lot. I love you son, but seriously, let's turn. Preferably head down. Thanks boo.

Seriously...my favorite name spells the initials HOG. I am super sad about this and thinking I may have some more thinking to do. I don't want to scar the kid before he even has a chance to be cool in middle school.

Sorry if you are bored that these are all (minus one) about the pregnancy/baby. It is kind of my life right now.

And how is it Thursday already?

My good friend, Lisa, made a whole table called "Kaitlin's Cravings". It was so cute. She did such a great job!! One day I will be crafty too. There was also bbq, bakes beans, and potato salad served in true Southern fashion.

End note: Brad thought from the beginning it was a girl. I couldn't really decide either way. On Sunday I woke up knowing it was a boy. I just knew it. I told everyone. I freaked out (what am I going to do with a boy?!?) I'm such a girl's girl. I love women. Not in a weird way, but I love the tradition of women -(read The RedTent). I've always had tons of guy friends, but I love to surround myself with strong women and great conversation.

All of that to say, I was scared to have a boy and I knew I was having one. But let me tell you something, when Rachel, the ultrasound tech, said "Mama's right! It's a boy" I cried tears of JOY! And all of my worry rushed away. I could not be happier. What is better than a big brother? I always wanted one!
They say boys love their mamas too... ;)

17 weeks

I thought I'd do a preggers update since I haven't done one yet and you've all only seen one picture of me.

17 weeks(even though its almost 18 on Saturday)

How far along: 17.5 weeks!

Size of baby: Baby G is the size of an onion. This leads me to wonder...what size onion?? There are several onions to choose from...

Total weight gain: About 5 or 6 lbs

Maternity clothes: Yep, I am in the jeans. I can wear some of my regular jeans, it just puts too much pressure when I sit down so I prefer the maternity. Shirts...eh not really...the maternity shirts are pretty huge unless they are fitted tees.

Gender: WILL KNOW MONDAY!! AHHHH!!

Movement: I can't really tell if I've felt the little bug or not. Sometimes I think I have, but I don't know what its suppose to feel like! :/

Sleep: I like to sleep. (When I'm not peeing)

What I miss: I'd like to say nothing for the sweet answer, but I do miss a cold beer. It is 103 degrees here most days!

Cravings: watermelon & pizza. I could eat either all day everyday.

Symptoms: MIGRAINES omg.

What I am looking forward to: MONDAY. :) :)

Here's a little belly pic from my phone this morning...

The Pain

All writing in no pictures makes for a boring post...sorry :(

So this week has been intense so far...and I do mean painfully intense. I'm having migraines. Like constantly. This may be my payback for not having morning sickness. But geez!! Bring on the nausea please, headaches are TERRIBLE. I can only take Tylenol and let me tell ya, that is not the good stuff. So I've been going home after work (and yesterday for 3 hrs during work) and laying in the dark. So fun.

Also, I went to go get "fitted" for a bridemaids dress for my dear friend, Swayze's wedding.

It will be 3 weeks to the day before my due date. I love her so much and it means so much that I am there for her big day just like she was for mine. That being said, I cannot even say outloud what size I ordered in the maternity bridesmaid dress. We just don't know what size I will be. And it cost over $150 more the the original dress and that is with me changing my dress completely. At first they were going to give me the dress the other girls had and rebuild the skirt (cz there is not maternity size). That was going to cost a whopping $450. oh my lawd.

So before we pull out the big bucks, we are going to check with the Doc on Monday and see if she thinks it is a good idea to even be in the wedding (ahhh that makes me so sad to think about!!) Swayze is the best and the last thing she wants is for me to pay all that money and not even get to be in the wedding if I go into labor. So I'll know for sure what's going to happen next week.

New blog...almost done!

Like my new blog??

Amanda from The Beginning of Everything is working on it for me.

I won her giveaway--I never win anything!-- and I am loving how it is turning out.

She had me involved in the whole process.

I told her how my personality was, my likes, dislikes, etc... and I think she got it spot-on.

Thanks, Amanda, you're wonderful!

We spent the weekend at my in-laws because we flea bombed our house. You are suppose to leave for two hours so we went over to their pool Saturday. Then we got scared it would be bad for me to be at the house so we ended up staying there.

Sunday we got the boat out for the first time this summer. It was great--until it poured rain and lightening on us!

B and his little bro getting the boat ready with their Dad...you can't see him...he is fixing the battery.

My hubs wakeboarding. The kid is good.
He hadn't done it in a year and he didn't fall once.
I, however, cannot even get up on skis or a wakeboard. ever.

Then having a beer because he was EXHAUSTED.

And now for the real fun....
Yesterday, I couponed again!
On $32.48 worth of stuff (which really that is the sale price...orginal price is more!),
I payed $14.76 AND got 10 ECBs back which is MONEY that I can use at CVS on my next trip.
So if ya wanna play it that way, I essentially paid $4.76 :)

And for any haters out there...I am not buying in bulk or buying ANYTHING I don't need.
Even if I see stuff I can get for free, I won't get it if we won't use it.
I'm also not sure if I am going to try to coupon at the grocery store yet.
It just seems way too complicated.
So far, I have just done CVS and only twice.
If I can get household items like this for cheap, then I feel like I am doing pretty well.

Saving!

I did it!

I couponed!!!!

So pumped about this. It was super fun.

My friend Lauren had been couponing for about 2 months now and she kept explaining it to me.

I kept telling her I needed help--like a class--like sit down with me and teach me on paper.

So finally we got together last night and mapped out the trip to CVS.

And I got all this for $7...originally $26 worth of stuff.

Pretty good for a first timer.

And I'm not trying to be all crazy, but if I can get this kind of stuff for cheap, then I'm cool with spending the norm on my groceries.

Diapers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and detergent- $7.

We are going to go ahead and buy diapers now when they are on sale so we don't get ridiculously overwhelmed when the baby comes.

First time diaper buying...my friend insisted on taking a pic.

Beautiful after running to the car in the rain. Note: belly getting huge. Officially cannot button jeans.

AND my lovely purchase when I went to visit my sis in Georgia.....

I had been sending Brad Coach diaper bags for quite some time now and of course, he's like no way.
BUT Outlet + clearance + sale = Coach diaper bag for Mama

Yes, there is pink action on it. Because I am a girl.

And I will carry this with all of my kiddies, girl or boy.

that was Brad's rule.

Yay. :)

Follow me on twitter. Or teach me how to do it. (#-- what is this?) Whichever you feel.

a few years later

I did it.

I joined twitter.

I don't understand it really. All the @____ or the #_____. Really just the #.

What does that even mean?

But whatev, you should still totally follow me. I can at least tweet.

And I can stalk Cory Monteith. Which is the only reason I joined twitter.

I know y'all, its getting embarrassing for me too.

I just need to stop talking about it.

I am married AND pregnant for the good Lord's sake!

I feel a little less guilty because the hubs knows and well, obviously its just a little day dream.

He's just so darn cute. And Canadian. Which is cool?

so follow me. @kaitlingodfrey

real original.

Seriously Thursday

Linking up with Becky on one of my favorite blogs From Mrs. to Mama...

1. Seriously...I had to go to the doctor this morning because it made me cry to walk yesterday. My right HIP hurts that bad. Found out its higher than the other hip so with my bones being all stretched and softened or whatever they are, its hurting to put pressure on my uneven hip.

2. Seriously, the cure: heating pad, warm bath, and this weird stretch. AKA no cure.

3. Seriously, my yard needs mowing. HUSBAND!! and the weeds are unstoppable...yuck.

4. Seriously, I love Glee. I have one more episode of season one to watch tonight (out of 22 episodes). I haven't been able to stop thinking about the finale of season 2-Rachel + Finn= love. I need it to come on DVD asap so I can re-watch them all. It just makes me relive my show choir days except we seriously couldn't dance.

5. Seriously, we find out if this little bug is a boy or a girl in 2 WEEKS. Seriously?!?! I'm really pregnant?? Still in shock...don't think that will ever end.
